I like the model consensus for late next week. check out GFS and ECMWF. just hope moisture can really return after this latest central US trough.

i noticed a shift in the pattern towards the beginning of october. the ensembles were looking in somewhat of a consensus a few days ago.

the newest GFS on CoD shows a pretty dynamic system coming through the plains toward the end of next week. it shows decent moisture and instability with a nice compact jet max rounding the base of the trough on thursday night, but it would be pretty far north for you guys in western IA and eastern NE. hopefully something good comes for you guys.
