That's crap, you can still see most of the wires, he's still using a laptop, and it looks cramped. Not to mention that he more than likely never has or will use about 80% of that stuff. If you gave me a badass vehicle and a government credit card with no limit, and about 2 weeks, I could dream up some amazing chase vehicle that would make even Reed stop and stare.

Yea I agree it's crap. I figured it would be a good laugh though. He probably only uses it spotting in one county or something. Putting a TV screen in the back with a tornado on the screen makes him feel important.
Re: Chase Vehicle
cradlepoint and dash cam mounts are in, but they were left at my neighbors... waiting around for them to get back! i'll try and bring them by tonight!

Re: Chase Vehicle
Got most of the temporary setup on my car done. Carpet pad on top of the plywood with a rug/mat on top of that. I put a 2x2 lip on the front edge to try and protect the gear. My Verizon antenna adapter came in the mail and so did the activated Verizon card. Hooked everything up to the Cradlepoint and all is working fine (so far). Now just need some storms to test things out on......
Re: Chase Vehicle
couldn't sleep tonight, so i thought i would get caught up on the old storm track. what a fiasco that is...
but however, looked at the sales of equipment pages, and began poking around some other sites. i found out that WxWorks or ThreatNet has an upgrade that gives higher resolution radar data, and quicker upload times of 2.5 minutes instead of five. i don't know if your version is compatible with the upgrades, but it looked a lot better and pretty cool. just an fyi! oh it is called threatNet plus!
